Priced at just $2,249 insured domestic shipping included, this is a rare opportunity to buy a completely unique Pat's Guitars Voodoo Tele. Everything used in the making of this extraordinary instrument is top-of-the-line, and so is the look, tone, and feel.
The body comes from a special order Fender Custom Shop Telecaster. Made from light, resonant ash, and finished in a very rare nitrocellulose lacquer "Candy Tangerine," this body really sings. The body was routed for the P90 at the neck and fully shielded with nickel print compound to keep out all external noise. Every cavity is star-grounded to every other and to the controls, for dead quiet operation. The guitar features my finest Tele control cicuit: CTS pots, an Orange Drop tone capacitor, volume kit to keep your tone instact at all volume levels, CRL spring tension 3 way switch, military grade Switchcraft output jack and the ingenious Electrosocket jack cup, all hand soldered at my bench using vintage cloth 22 awg amp grade single strand wire.
The pickups are works of art from Seymour Duncan's Antiquity line, the Antiquity P90 at the neck and the Antiquity Tele pickup at the bridge. These are each painstakingly crafted to sound and look like true vintage pickups and the tone is spot on. A nice fat tone at the neck that can be pushed from creamy warmth to a nice rock and roll growl, and a perfect Tele lead twangy lead tone with strong midrange kick at the bridge position. Each pickup is hand-crafted, hand-wound, and hand signed on the back of the pickup and on the papers that comes with it, by Seymour Duncan himself.
The bridge is the American Deluxe chrome plated brass bridge with six saddles that adjusst for perfect individual action and intonation on every string. The exotic pickguard features a voodoo reptile pattern, but if you want something more "conservative" I'll be glad to swap it out. I also have a three ply light mint green pickguard on hand that looks very beautiful against the Candy Tangerine finish.
The neck is a showpiece too. I used a rare brand new NOS 60th Anniversary American Deluxe neck with an extremely rare jet black ebony freboard. This neck features a medium C profile, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a 9.5 inch fretboard radius. The neck has beautiful abalone dot inlays that look incredible against the dark ebony, and a special diamond commemorative medallion is mounted on the back of the headstock. The strings are anchored to the peghead by genuine German-built Fender-Schaller chrome locking tuners, much finer than the lightweight Chinese-made knock-offs that Fender is using now on American Deluxe guitars.
The guitar weighs an extremely comfortable 7 pounds and 15 ounces.
