This is a very special purchase opportunity on a beautiful Martin D-41 in extremely near mint condition, and with ten years of seasoning already into the wood, resulting in the sort of deep rich tone that is the unique hallmark of the legendary Martin rosewood dreadnought line.

As the specifications indicate, the 2001 D-41 is beautifully prepared, using fine Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, select Sitka Spruce for the top and bracing, multiple bindings, back purfling, and generous use of gorgeous select abalone inlay. Factory bone nut and a compensated bone saddle on the ebony bridge. Impeccable old school construction with scalloped bracing and a dove tail neck joint.
The D-41 is second only to the flagship D-45 in the Martin "D" line, and I personally have always preferred the less gaudy elegance of the D-41's. This particular example is an oustanding specimen, with only the slightest indications of prior use. It has no discernible wear on the frets, it has 100% of the original saddle height with perfect (factory spec) action, and there are no dings, no dents, and no scratches. With a full decade of age, the woods have opened nicely, and you will get all of the powerful projection, and all of the rich and perfectly defined lower midrange, for which Martins are so justifiably prized. A Martin rosewood dreadnought is an instrument that every guitar player should have the opportunity to own, and at just $2,999.99, including shipping, this is exceptional D-41 is the one that you mustn't overlook.
