Only The Best!

Want "only the best in beautiful wood, rich tone, and silky smooth play? This showpiece custom-made Pat's Guitars Stratocaster from my own private collection is all that and more!
This guitar weighs just 7.8 lbs. It features a light alder body topped with a beautiful slab of bookmatched flamed maple. The top is finished in honeyburst, which shows the intense flame all the way to the edge. The medium C profile neck is cut from one piece of some of the most intensely flamed maple that I have ever had the pleasure of working with, and it is capped with a stunning Brazilian Rosewood fretboard showing intense pattern and coloration, inlaid with real mother-of-pearl dots. The neck has 22 medium jumbo frets, which have been dressed to perfection, with crown and level performed work on a Plek Pro machine. Action across the nut stays smooth, thanks to a graphite nut.
Strings are anchored on the peghead with brushed finish German-built Fender-Schaller staggered height locking tuners. At the other end of the strings is an Fender American Deluxe bridge, with a modern 2 point fulcrum pivot and the nice "pop-in" trem arm. These fine bridges feature a wedge shaped block that allows you to bend notes further than was possible on the old vintage trem designs.
The pickups and electronics used in this beautiful guitar are the EMG David Gilmour DG-20 active set. They sound phenomenal, and the controls give you a master volume, and enhanced tone control (the EMG tone control boosts highs and lows against the mids, providing more refined definition with the volume pot wide open than you will hear with the simple treble cut tone control) and the "SPC" Presence control, which fattens up the tone to emulate humbuckers (far more successfully, in my opinion, than the Fender Clapton mid-boost circuit). The pickups are noiseless and built with truce Alnico magnets for an accurate vintage Strat tone. All electronics are shielded so you'll hear no extraneous external interference, and no ground hum. From a delicate Strat sparkle to a thicker "Fat Strat" roar, this is a great layout that truly does it all.
It will come in a rare Fender Diamond Anniversary case. Made by G & G, this elegant case features a "center pocket" with large storage area, plush red lining with an embroidered diamond Fender logo, and a beautiful silver satin exterior with the late 60's Fender chrome amp logo badge. The case does show some very light wear. I am bundling a Fender owners' kit with the guitar as well.
As already mentioned, the fretboard is made from the finest Brazilian rosewood and features a unique "compound radius." What is that? Well, all fretboards have some curvature. Vintage guitars tend to have a more round curvature, as round as the surface of a circle with 7.25 inch radius. The old vintage radius was comfortable for the basic chords on the first few frets. On the other hand, many newer necks tend to have a flatter radius of 9.5" to 12" or more. These necks allow for easier lead work and are more comfortable on the higher frets. The ingenious compound radius actually gives you the best of both worlds. On the low frets the fretboard is more rounded, and as you work your way up the neck, it grows more flat, so the radius is always optimal for the kind of playing you are doing in whatever position your hand might be on the board. You can lay the action as low as you want to over the frets, and you can bend notes until they cry for mercy. Your friends will pick up this Strat and they'll notice it plays more easily than other guitars, even if they can't put the finger on the reason why. The truth is that their finger already IS on the reason why ~ it is the compound radius fretboard.
The Strat plays like butter and sounds incredible, with an extremely pleasing and versatile tonal range, thanks to the Gilmour set-up. The action is amazing, with very low pressure and effortless bends. But of course, anyone who sees this guitar will be doing a double take, thanks to the extraordinary beauty of the choice premium flamed maple and Brazilian rosewood. If you love Stratocasters and beautiful woods too, you will love this guitar.
This beauty has been previously owned by its creator (yours truly), but it is mint and like new in every way. You will not find another Strat that looks or plays like it. If you like what you see, don't miss this opportunity!
